the republic (early stages)

I took some time off from my new painting "the republic" to make more decoupage prints on hand-cut wood for my All Out Print Show. The prints are doing really good and I have to keep making more (and that's definitely good).

So here are some more progress shots of the painting, which right now is in its drawing phase (and hopefully that's not too confusing).

bear head, kinda cute, no?

I like how her lips and sunglasses are still not colored in...

And here are two more shots from the opening of the All Out Print Show, which is up until April 30th, at the:

all out print show

ALL OUT PRINT SHOW April 1 - 30

opening reception April 5 | 6-8pm

Path Cafe
131 Christopher St.
New York, NY 10014

A solo exhibition of my decoupage prints on hand-cut wood.
I will be selling the mini fishboards from the surf series, as well as brand new first edition prints of all the other sunlit ladies from the mannequin and behind the sun series.

Limited edition print sets will also be available.
Every print is handmade, hangable and very affordable.
The sizes vary from 6-9 inches (in either length or width).

Here are some photos of the making of these miniatures:

First of, the painting All Mixed Up is available as a print in 4 colors: CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, or black)

Here are all the ladies from the mannequin series:

Some more new print shapes:

And the "classic" fishboard shape prints from the surf series in their second edition. (I say "classic" as these were the first miniature counterparts I ever made of my original art.)

The back of each print has four eye hooks, hanging wire, and it's signed with my name, website, and title of the piece.

Now the before shots!
The wood is hand-cut and shaped; an aerial view of the minis in their raw state:

And that concludes the "print shop" tour!
